Annual Review of Quality Program
The Medical Director is responsible to ensure an effective quality management (QM) program for the laboratory (TLC.10440). The Director must be involved in the design, implementation and oversight of the laboratory's quality management program. This includes all aspects of test performance, including the pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases of testing. The Director also reviews the QM plan annually for effectiveness, and ensures that the program covers all areas of the laboratory and all beneficiaries of service (GEN.16902, 20100).
