Yvona Ward, Ph.D.
Staff Scientist (Facility Head)
Cell and Cancer Biology Branch, CCR

My name is Yvona Ward and I am a Staff Scientist in the Cell and Cancer Biology Branch. I have been managing the Microinjection and Confocal Microscopy Core Facility in the branch for 11 years as well as conducting research on various aspects of tumor progression and metastasis.

In addition, I have been an active member of the CCR Staff Scientist and Staff Clinician Organization since its formation in 2005. For two years, I was the chair for the SS/SC Retreat committee overseeing the complete organization of our annual retreat. I have continued to serve as a member of the Retreat Planning Committee as well as being an active member of the organization, as a whole.

I have seen the SS/SC Organization achieve many things that directly benefit our members including support in career development, improving the quadrennial review process, providing training opportunities, and building a network. I would like to take on a more involved role as our organization continues to grow and evolve in the future.

Thank you..
