Goals
Provide information to the CCR OD and maintain their awareness of any concerns or needs of the SS/SC community (e.g., conducting surveys and highlighting challenges expressed by the community)
Provide feedback to the leadership in terms of new programs or new initiatives launched. (e.g., the SS/SCs-RA initiative)
Point of contact for SS/SCs - provide resources to resolve conflicts. When a conflict arises, it may be difficult for a SS/SC to reach out to their immediate supervisor, branch chief or deputy chief. The liaison committee will provide information about the programs and resources available at NIH (e.g., training programs from the Office of Workforce Planning and Development (OWPD), Office of the Ombudsman, Office of Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion, or NIH Civil Program).
Structure and Strategies
While this Liaison platform is launched by the co-founders, this Liaison duty will become part of the mission of the future elected officers of the SS/SC organisation.
