Do you use Excel spreadsheets often in your job and wish you knew more about some of the features and functions that make Excel such a powerful tool?
Beginning in May of 2012 NCI’s new Information Technology Resource Center (ITRC) will be hosting a series of informal brown bag seminars available to NCI staff designed to provide training in the advanced features of Excel. This informal training is being offered as an opportunity for those seeking more advanced skills in Excel in a hands on environment. Seating is limited and availability is on a first come first served basis. Additional sessions may be arranged if there is substantial interest.
Seminars will be one hour long and will be offered in a computer lab to provide hands on involvment.
Part I: Introduction and Demonstration of a Concept or Function in Excel
The first half hour will be devoted to a demonstration of an Excel functionality chosen for the session by the ITRC. It will include an overview, a demonstration, and hands-on practice.
Part II: Q&A
Q&A! Bring your Excel questions with you and we’ll demonstrate the solution in part 2 of the class. If you have a specific spreadsheet you would like to ask a question about send it to us along with your question(s) at least two days before the class occurs. We may not be able to address all questions in the classroom but we’ll do our best! Note: the questions asked in Part 2 need not be related to the concept covered in Part 1.
