Good Target

Things to consider prior to submitting a proposal to the DDC

Do you have a good target?

1) Is the target novel?
2) Can you verify the target is not being developed by pharma?
3) Can you invest time, resources and personnel to this project for several years?
4) Is the target critical for cancer prevention, progression or treatment?
5) Is there a niche population or will the agent benefit a rare cancer type?

If you answered "yes" to the first 4 questions, then the DDC will consider the target. Next, you will need to verify you have a good compound.
