Overview

Histopathology is the microscopic examination of abnormal or diseased tissue. Our purpose is to administer convenient histology services while providing the highest quality to clinicians and researchers. We perform all standard histology procedures. Our custom histological procedures are designed to fit the diverse needs of the National Cancer Institute’s patient population.

We provide the following services:

  • Tissue Processing
  • Paraffin embedding
  • Microtomy Sectioning
  • Routine H & E staining
  • Frozen sectioning
  • Cryostat use
  • Sections for RNA isolation
  • Sections for DNA isolation
  • Select Special Stains
  • Select Histochemical Stains
